But wow classic gold nobody really cares about dungeon blues

Mar-19-2020 PST WOW Classic

When everyone has seen proof of your shit, that's it. New character or name change it up and pray no one can figure it out.It depends what you ninja. Looting Majordomo chest is pretty bad, but wow classic gold nobody really cares about dungeon blues. Sure you'll get your name spammed in trade chat for 10 minutes or so, but then it's forgotten.

My irl friend ninja'd Majordomo's stash the day before he transferred to my server, he left all of the items, but a Finkle's Lava Dredger. His Finkle's Lava Dredger lives in infamy in my friend group. Not really, you just ignored said person and went on your way. Why would you want to group with someone who could potentially steal gear, when it was so hard to get it in the first place?

Realm transfer was available in 2006, and name change in late 2007, so it was a thing. However, I think you could use their old armory page to follow them if nobody took their old name. There was always a few people back in the day that fucked their reputation up in the later half of BC and tried to transfer. People would stalk ninjas and warn other guilds or servers about them.

So to name change with a realm transfer, you'd just make a toon with the name you want to get rid of on your destination realm. You had to change your name once you arrived.

If name change wasn't available 'til late 2007, it would be part of BC not Vanilla. BC was released in January 2007.Upvote for truth and justice. In BC a lot of players would move between servers, if they weren't very sneaky they would get followed with a forum post on their new realms.

But wouldn't it be theoretically possible for people to blame someone for something they never did? I'm not saying people DID do that, but is it possible? That's enough for me to detest the idea of a blacklist or whatever. I don't give a how many people ninja loot, if someone innocent gets shit on by the entire server because some other people decided to with them for whatever reason, that doesn't seem worth it.

Unless you had evidence, you would have a very hard time ruining someone's reputation. You'd be risking your own reputation by stirring shit up without any proof. I don't think I can recall anyone being wrongfully blacklisted, really. People were very quick to call bullshit if there wasn't any proof.

There was one simple rule you had to know if you were going to call out a ninja. Pics or it didn't happen.

On my server in  Vanilla if someone did something unreasonable you just had a quick chat with one of their guild officers. The guilds actually cared about their reputation. There were some wow guilds who fell apart because they got a bad rep and other guilds wouldn't do runs with their members.
