The KakaoTalk app now features Odin Link, a new capability within the cross-platform MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising that lets you monitor your PC character's activities remotely via your mobile device while autoplay is engaged. Odin's autoplay option is useful for activities like questing, farming, and exploring dungeons.


Odin Link, integrated into the KakaoTalk app by the Kakao group (whose subsidiary, Kakao Games, is the parent company of Lionheart), allows you to stay in touch with other players in your party while receiving notifications of any issues, such as your character's death or inventory capacity.


Lionheart Studio, the game's developer, initially gained attention for Odin's promising features, leading to a deal with Kakao Games to distribute the game in South Korea. The recent announcement that Kakao Games has acquired a controlling stake in Lionheart Studio means that the game's global release is more likely, given the publisher's worldwide reach.


However, Kakao Games has previously employed IP-blocking for certain regions with the MMORPG Elyon, raising the possibility that Odin: Valhalla Rising may follow suit.
