Exactly. And my interest in playing those games are gone. Exclusivity sucks in sports games. Hell, it sucks in games, period.

You can fix all of that with FIFA Mobile Coins an option file, and because of it you get a lot more customisation, so you can change kits from season to season in Master League.

I get what you're saying, but the older I get, the less I want to mess with customization and mods on a PC. I want to enjoy games in an easy way. Just turn it on and play.

If you have a PS4 it also takes like 10 minutes. It's less like modding and more like just changing settings. Don't think it's possible at all on xbox.

Well that's something I haven't thought about. I've always been an Xbox guy until recently when I got a friend's PS4 to play The Show and other exclusives. I'll have to checkout getting FIFA for PS4 instead of Xbox this year.

That's the point. They're wasting a shitton of money to fifa mobile season exclusives instead of trying to beat each other in gameplay. PES at least trying because they have the lower hand but they still rather think in the licences instead of a really fleshed out gameplay.

Unless there’s some really good features fixes for career mode I’m gonna stay on FIFA 18. Transfers are already shit in 18 so no need to start over for the same bullshit + Turin FC.

I am hoping for something good for Career Mode this year, not long to wait for news now, but PES and Master League are certainly tempting me for the first time in years.

Because of a lawsuit in Brazil that EA lost because players were unlawfully represented in FIFA, now PES has all licensed teams but some teams still have fake players.

The EA statement says all real world names & likeness will remain. Exactly like Boca this year. It will be the kit, badge, name & stadium that will be generic.

Seeing as fifa are money grabbers, they probably aren't willing to give clubs the same amount of money for licensing as pes does.

On a more serious note, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose more licenses by FIFA 21, considering we've already lost Camp Nou, Allianz and now Juve in what, the last 2-3 years? There was also a brief stint where Liverpool and United had their assets in PES, around PES 13-15 I think?

On PC there are a selection of community-made patches that can make everything official - stadiums, kits, fonts, player faces, boots, gloves. Subject to someone actually making them of course, and expect a delay initially after launch but there have been some great tools created over the years.

On PS4 you can download option files which are a bit of a middle ground - it’ll get you kits, team logos and names, but that’s as far as it goes really.

And Xbox doesn’t allow this at all.

Exactly. Don’t mind the sort of exclusive deal Barca have where it’s the stadium and that, but this is just a step too far.
